We foster care puppies for the Delaware Humane. Over the years we have had more than 250 puppies! They have all been adopted within 2 weeks of going back to the Humane. We also have big dogs, a Lab, Great Dane, and and “Australian Cattle Dog” (well, it was a Foster failure, so we do not really know what type of dog it is). Between the big dogs and my brother and me the puppies learn how to behave, and get basically house-trained. They also expect to be loved and played with. Which is why they all get adopted so quickly.
I lost a lot of pictures from some of the older litters, but here are some of the recent ones.
My job is to keep them clean, walked, fed and happy.
Generally we get a pregnant mom. She gives birth and we hold her and the puppies for 8 to 10 weeks.
Then they go back to the Humane to be spayed and put up for adoption.
